Wishes do come true, sooner or later. So, my December came a little late, in February, but no worries for that, I accept it as it is.
What was predicted to be a nice Monday morning for me (is not often that I wake up without being grumpy), became hilarious by the time I hot into the kitchen for my earl grey. With a smile on the face, everyone told me “hey, it’s snow day, no uni, everything is closed”. My obvious question was “WHY?” I know it’s not a common thing here to have snow for more than a few hours, but still, close down everything?! And when I say everything, I mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Schools, buses, trains, 3 tube lines, most of the airports and roads are down. You can’t get in or out of
That’s why this becomes hilarious when I remember how it was home. Winter mornings : being in snow till knees, trying to follow a pathway made by the brave ones early in the morning, getting into the station, waiting patiently (not really) for the bus that was already full when it got there, and hope that I’ll be at school by 8 a.m. That was a chaotic situation, not a thin blanket of snow.
Until further notice concerning this chaotic situation, I’m going out to enjoy my late present from Santa.
